Reliable screening tools that can identify large vessel occlusion (LVO) stroke in the prehospital environment are critical due to the time-sensitive nature of stroke outcomes. EMS providers need to be able to identify LVO to preferentially transport these patients to endovascular therapy (EVT)-capable centers. The objective of this study was to assess the Rapid Arterial oCclusion Evaluation (RACE) scale for LVO stroke in real-world prehospital settings.
