Despite asthma being a common diagnosis in pediatric emergency medical services (EMS) patients, there is a lack of data on prehospital management of pediatric patients with asthma. The authors of this study conducted a retrospective review of medical records, identifying patients 2 to 17 years with documented wheezing to describe prehospital management of pediatric patients with suspected asthma exacerbation.
