Assessing the severity of acute dyspnea objectively can be difficult. The patients' perceived degree of dyspnea often doesn't correlate with a health care professionals' assessment. The authors of this study sought to validate the accuracy of a novel acute dyspnea scale to identify outcomes of out-of-hospital patients.
